Educational Qualification:
1. NAVIK (General Duty): Class 12th pass with Mathematics and Physics from a Board of Education recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
2. Mechanical: 10th Class from a Board of Education recognized by Board of School Education (COBSE) and Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of 03 or 04 years duration approved by All India Council. Technical Education (AICTE).
Age Limit:
Minimum 18 years and maximum 22 years. Candidates born between 01 March 2003 to 28 February 2007 (both dates inclusive) should apply for the post of Seafarer (GD) and Machinist.
Age Relaxation: Higher age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy) candidates.
Salary Details:
1. Seamen (General Duty): Basic Pay 21700/- (Pay Level 3) plus dearness allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/posting as per existing regulations.
2. Mechanical: Basic Pay 29200/- (Pay Level 5). Also, you will be paid mechanical pay 6200/- along with dearness allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/posting as per extant regulations.
