Syllabus of WBCS 2024
The WBCS 2024 Exam Syllabus includes various subjects required for government job roles. It includes general science, focusing on everyday observations and basic scientific concepts. English comprehension, vocabulary and grammar are also assessed. Current affairs including national and international events are very important. Additionally, Indian history, geography (with special emphasis on West Bengal), and Indian politics, including the constitution and governmental structure, are part of the curriculum. Finally, General Mental Ability, which includes Logical Reasoning and General Aptitude questions.
Selection Process for WBPSC Civil Services 2024
The selection process for WBCS 2024 involves three stages: Preliminary, Mains and Interview. Initially, candidates must clear the Preliminary Examination, which is of a qualifying nature and consists of a single General Studies paper. Successful candidates then proceed to the mains examination, which consists of compulsory papers and an optional subject paper for Group A and B posts.
At the final stage a personality test is conducted to assess the candidates’ mental abilities, decision making, judgment and awareness. Merit is determined on the basis of merit and personality test scores. Candidates who pass all stages are recommended for recruitment based on merit list.
